Overview

  • The UX Lead – HMI Design plays a key role in shaping and enhancing the user experience across the vehicle’s infotainment system, including the Instrument Cluster (IPC), Head Unit, Head-Up Display (HUD), physical controls, and multimodal feedback such as sound and voice.
  • This role involves contributing from the early stages of new design projects, while also proposing experience improvements for existing systems to ensure intuitive, safe, and emotionally engaging interactions while driving.
  • The position requires strong system-level design thinking, the ability to analyze user behavior in real-world driving contexts, and the capability to anticipate and define future UX directions.   • Propose and develop design concepts for both new infotainment projects and improvements to existing systems, covering components such as the Instrument Cluster (IPC), Head Unit, HUD, physical controls, and sound/voice feedback.
  • Analyze user behavior, pain points, and usage scenarios in the driving context to define user-centric interaction models
  • Research emerging trends and technologies in the automotive industry (e.g., ADAS, EV interfaces, personalization, multimodal interaction) to shape future-ready UIUX strategies.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and low- to mid-fidelity prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, researchers, product owners, and software engineers to ensure UX ideas are translated into practical and implementable designs
  • Participate in usability testing, expert reviews, and in-vehicle validation activities to assess and iterate on UX proposals
  • Benchmark competitor systems (both within and outside the automotive domain) to identify best practices and opportunities for differentiation
  • Produce clear and structured UX documentation (e.g., behavior specifications, user flows) to support development and validation teams
