Overview

  • Marketing & Communications
  • Developing and implementing marketing and communication plans to promote sustainability initiatives, programs, and achievements across the university
  • Creating engaging content (articles, newsletters, social media posts, videos, infographics) to communicate sustainability messages to internal and external audiences
  • Managing the sustainability office's presence on digital platforms (website, social media channels) and ensuring content is up to date and impactful
  • Collaborating with the Marketing & Communications Department to align sustainability messaging with the university's overall brand and communication strategy
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and promotional materials to communicate sustainability performance and impact to internal and external stakeholders
  • Community Events
  • Planning, organizing, and executing sustainability-related events, campaigns, and workshops to engage students, staff, faculty, and the local community
  • Coordinating with student clubs, academic departments, and external organizations/partners to co-host events and initiatives that advance sustainability awareness and action
  • Managing event logistics, budgets, timelines, and vendor/partner relationships to ensure successful delivery of events
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of events and campaigns, and preparing post-event reports with recommendations for improvement
  • Building and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders, NGOs, and sustainability networks to support outreach efforts
  • General
  • Supporting the Director of Sustainability in developing the overall sustainability communication and engagement strategy
  • Staying up to date with sustainability trends, best practices, and case studies to bring fresh ideas to the university's initiatives
  • Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sustainability
