Overview
- Substantial experience personally building and leading production web applications—not only managing developers.
- Strong TypeScript/React experience and the ability to work across frontend, APIs, PostgreSQL and backend services.
- Experience designing reliable event-driven integrations: handling missing, duplicated and out-of-order events without losing or corrupting records.
- Strong SQL, database migration, access-control, data-integrity and production-debugging skills.
- A track record of leading releases, reviewing code, improving tests and investigating incidents using logs and live evidence.
- Clear written and spoken English, sound technical judgment, and willingness to explain tradeoffs to a nontechnical founder.
- Reliable overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours; the exact schedule should be agreed before hiring.
- Python/FastAPI, Supabase, Next.js, real-time communications, SIP/telephony, Twilio or LiveKit.
- Experience with AI-assisted products, speech transcription, monitoring and alerting.
- Experience leading a small distributed team while remaining hands-on.
