Overview
- Academic Leadership
- Lead and manage the implementation of the International Program across assigned grade levels.
- Develop annual academic plans, semester plans, teaching plans and curriculum implementation schedules.
- Ensure the quality of teaching, learning, assessment and student outcomes.
- Monitor curriculum delivery, lesson planning, assessment practices and academic progress.
- Lead curriculum review, academic improvement initiatives and program development.
- Ensure alignment with the school’s academic standards, international curriculum requirements and partner expectations.
- Analyze student performance data and propose solutions to improve academic achievement.
- Faculty Management and Development
- Manage, supervise and develop expatriate teachers, Vietnamese teachers, academic coordinators, subject leaders and homeroom teachers under the International Program.
- Conduct classroom observations, teacher evaluations, coaching and professional development.
- Support teacher recruitment, onboarding, assignment and retention.
- Build a collaborative, professional and high-performing teaching team.
- Ensure teachers comply with school policies, academic standards and professional expectations.
- Student Management and Homeroom Coordination
- Oversee student learning, wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and discipline within the International Program.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of homeroom teachers.
- Ensure effective class management, pastoral care, student support and parent communication.
- Work closely with Student Affairs to handle student issues, behavioural matters and student development plans.
- Support students’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Student Activities, Competitions and Enrichment Programs
- Plan and coordinate academic competitions, international competitions, STEM, Robotics, Debate, Public Speaking, Model United Nations, Olympiads and other enrichment programs.
- Develop extracurricular activities, clubs, student projects and experiential learning opportunities.
- Promote student leadership, confidence, creativity and international-mindedness.
- Coordinate student participation in academic events, school events and external competitions.
- School Operations
- Support the Principal in managing day-to-day school operations.
- Coordinate with Academic Administration, Student Affairs, Admissions, Facilities, IT, Communications and Student Services to ensure smooth school operations.
- Monitor classrooms, learning spaces, teaching equipment and academic resources.
- Ensure the International Program operates safely, effectively and in compliance with school policies.
- Contribute to operational planning, resource allocation and budget monitoring as assigned.
- Parent and Community Engagement
- Serve as a key academic and student-related contact point for parents of the International Program.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress, academic matters, behaviour and school activities.
- Participate in parent meetings, school events, admission events and academic consultation sessions.
- Build positive relationships with parents, students, teachers and external partners.
- International Program Development
- Work with international partners, examination boards, accreditation bodies and education organizations as assigned.
- Support the development of international pathways, student exchange opportunities and global learning activities.
- Contribute to the school’s strategic development and continuous improvement of the International Program.
