Overview
- Production Scheduling & Capacity Optimization
- Develop and maintain production timelines to align manufacturing output with market needs.
- Develop weekly and daily production plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and plant capacity.
- Evaluate machine and labor availability to optimize production lines and minimize downtime.
- Adjust schedules "on the fly" in response to equipment breakdowns, ingredient shortages, or urgent order changes.
- Inventory Management & Material Control
- Oversee stock levels to ensure continuous production without excessive overhead.
- Monitor stock levels of finished goods and raw materials to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Strictly manage "First-Expiry, First-Out" (FEFO) protocols to ensure product freshness and safety.
- Cross-Functional Coordination & Reporting
- Facilitate communication between departments and track operational efficiency.
- Act as a bridge between Sales, Warehouse, and Production departments to align supply with market demand.
- Explain technical production data to non-technical stakeholders, such as Restaurant or Sales Managers.
- Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Schedule Adherence, Production Yield, and Waste levels.
