Overview

Position summary
1 Design & drawing creation
Create manufacturing drawings and 3D models for parts, assemblies, fixtures and tooling.
Convert customer drawings into clear internal manufacturing drawings.
Clarify requirements for assigned drawings and avoid errors in own work.
Follow MDC drafting standards and templates.
Perform self-check of drawings for accuracy and completeness before submitting for review.
2 Engineering release & data control
Set up item, BOM and route data.
Support ECN (engineering change notice), revision control and engineering release accuracy.
Handle quick turn requests as assigned.
3 Task execution & support
Complete engineering tasks as assigned, following the priorities and due dates set by the Engineering Lead / Supervisor.
Report progress or technical risks early to the Engineering Lead.
Escalate technical, specification or capacity issues to the Engineering Lead instead of making independent commitments to other teams or customers.
Provide drawing and engineering information to other teams when requested, through or with the Engineering Lead.
