Overview

  • If you are a transactional lawyer, you will support partners and lead junior lawyers to advise clients (in person or by email), structure deals, review transactions, and carry out the legal procedures needed to implement and close cross-border transactions.
  • Advisory:
  • Preparing and delivering legal advice, to the client's satisfaction, across various areas of Vietnamese law (commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, corporate, investment, real estate, and others)
  • Preparing, drafting, and reviewing agreements, contracts, MOUs, legal due diligence reports, internal corporate documents (charters, internal policies, and other corporate documents), and other legal documents at the client's request
  • Handling assigned matters in contract, M&A, investment, and corporate law, including meeting and working directly with clients and third parties
  • Liaising with government authorities to address client requirements and follow up on ongoing matters
  • Attending meetings with clients and third parties.
  • Licensing:
  • Providing compliance guidance and support on all regulatory and licensing matters
  • Leading and supporting the procedures for applying for licenses with state authorities
  • Reviewing and revising applications dossiers and other legal documents as assigned.
  • Acting for and on behalf of clients in dealings with state authorities
  • Traveling as needed for in-person meetings with regulators and for examinations and hearings.
  • If you are a dispute resolution lawyer, you will support partners, lead junior lawyers, and have the opportunity to negotiate directly with opposing parties and to work with the police, the procuracy, the courts, and arbitration bodies to protect our clients' rights and lawful interests — particularly in matters with an international dimension.
  • Developing and proposing strategies and arguments for disputes
  • Preparing, drafting, and reviewing litigation and arbitration dossiers
  • Liaising with the relevant authorities, courts, and arbitration centers to address their requirements and follow up on ongoing cases
  • Assisting, representing, and protecting clients in court or arbitration in commercial disputes
  • Building strong professional relationships with government authorities.
