Overview
- Legal Business Partnering
- Advise the assigned business area on day-to-day legal matters and recommend practical, actionable solutions that enable business decisions
- Draft, review and mark up contracts for the assigned area, including both standard and non-standard agreements
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes relevant to the assigned area, flag their business impact, and provide domain input to the Legal Obligation Register
- Prepare and submit applications for business and sub-licenses required for the assigned area, track their validity and renewals, and maintain the license register and go-live checklist
- Identify and assess legal risks in the assigned area, propose mitigation measures with clear timelines, and track them through to closure
- Handle disputes and inspections in the assigned area, prepare documentation, provide legal input, and coordinate resolution; capture root-cause lessons for contracts and processes
- Maintain templates, precedents and advisory logs for the assigned area, and contribute domain content to the Legal knowledge-management system
- Partner with business stakeholders, maintain effective working relationships, and ensure timely legal responses within agreed SLAs

Requirements
- Holding a lawyer practicing certificate is an advantage
- Minimum 4 years of experience in legal advisory, in-house legal or related roles
- Good knowledge of commercial and the laws relevant to the assigned business area
- Legal analysis & drafting skills
- Explain legal matters in plain business language
