Overview
- Job overview:
- We are looking for a Senior Motion Graphic Designer to join our product team and take ownership of motion design and video content for our digital products. You will turn ideas, scripts and static designs into motion — animated graphics, interface motion and finished video — and carry each piece from concept through to a production-ready deliverable.
- The scope of this role grows with the products we build, so we are looking for a versatile designer rather than a specialist in a single format: strong in one primary discipline (2D or 3D) and able to work in the other.
- Motion design & animation: design and produce animated graphics, transitions and interface motion that stay visually consistent with the product design system.
- Video production: build videos from script and storyboard through to final export, in the formats and durations each channel requires.
- Editing & post-production: cut and assemble footage, color grading, sound, subtitles and visual effects, to a consistent level of finish.
- Concept & storyboard: contribute to ideas, scripts and storyboards; produce concepts and style frames before production starts.
- Technical delivery: optimize and export assets for web, mobile and real-time environments — frame rates, file sizes and asset budgets appropriate to each target platform.
- Collaborate end to end: work with product design, UX research, engineering and communication teams; take feedback, iterate, and hand off in production-ready form.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in motion design, animation or video production, with a portfolio of shipped work.
- Video production & editing: Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; solid editing, color grading and sound work; able to take a script or storyboard through to a finished video.
- Motion & animation core — strong in at least ONE of the two tracks, and able to work in the other:
- o 2D track: After Effects (keyframe animation, expressions, common rigging plugins), plus Illustrator and Photoshop for asset preparation.
- o 3D track: Blender / Cinema 4D / Maya — modeling, rigging and animation; solid grasp of shading, lighting and rendering.
- Strong fundamentals: animation principles, timing and easing, composition, typography and visual rhythm.
- Portfolio covering both finished video work and motion design / animation.
- Comfortable within technical constraints: asset optimization and export for web, mobile and real-time environments.
- Nice to have:
- Character animation and rigging.
- Real-time and interactive animation tools: Rive, Lottie (JSON export from After Effects), Spine, Unity or Unreal.
- DaVinci Resolve for color grading; CapCut or similar for fast short-form output.
- 3D product visualization and rendering.
- Experience animating for embedded devices or other constrained hardware.
- Ability to read technical documentation in English.
