Overview
- Perform audit procedures in accordance with the audit programme, audit manual, and the Firm’s risk management policies and procedures, consulting with senior team members as required.
- Identify and promptly report any potential ethical or independence issues to Seniors, Managers, or Partners, and contribute suggestions on appropriate actions.
- Assist in all phases of the audit engagement, including planning, fieldwork, and completion.
- Participate in audit planning discussions to identify key audit risks and understand the rationale behind the audit strategy.
- Communicate technical, administrative, and other engagement-related issues to senior team members in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with client personnel and communicate accounting and auditing concepts clearly and professionally.
- Respond to day-to-day client queries appropriately, seeking guidance from Seniors, Managers, or Partners when necessary.
- Keep clients informed of relevant new accounting and auditing standards that may impact their business.
- Research and address technical and audit issues, and contribute to developing appropriate and well-supported conclusions.
- Develop a sound understanding of the client’s business and analyse client issues by applying relevant accounting and auditing knowledge to practical situations.
- Proactively manage client expectations and communicate any potential issues or delays in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional and effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Actively seek, receive, and respond to constructive feedback from Seniors, Managers, and Partners, and apply feedback to improve performance.
- Complete assigned work within agreed deadlines, or proactively discuss any potential delays with the Senior or Manager in advance.
- Agree on expected time budgets for assignments and monitor time spent against the agreed budget.
- Exercise appropriate professional judgement to ensure audit work is completed to the required quality and standard.
- Complete the required job evaluation and other engagement-related administrative tasks upon completion of the audit engagement.
