Overview

  • The General Accountant will support the Chief Accountant in managing the daily financial operations of Paizes’ manufacturing facility in Vietnam. This role involves maintaining the general ledger, ensuring compliance with VAS/IFRS, and providing direct supervision over the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to ensure accuracy and internal control.
  • A. General Ledger & Financial Reporting
  • Maintain the full-cycle accounting process and ensure all journal entries are accurately recorded in MISA AMIS.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and coordinate month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Manage fixed assets using the Straight-Line Depreciation Method and monitor inventory/COGS using the Weighted Average Method.
  • Assist the Chief Accountant in preparing statutory financial statements (VAS/IFRS) and management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet) in English.
  • Prepare and review monthly/quarterly tax reports (VAT, PIT, CIT, FCT) before final review by the Chief Accountant.
  • B. Supervision of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Oversee the AP Accountant to ensure all supplier invoices are verified, coded, and recorded correctly.
  • Review payment runs and ensure all disbursements are supported by valid documentation and approved according to company policy.
  • Monitor aging payables and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers (e.g., Grant Thornton).
  • C. Supervision of Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Supervise the AR Accountant in the timely issuance of invoices and recording of customer collections.
  • Monitor aging receivables and coordinate with the sales team to follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Perform periodic reconciliations of customer accounts to ensure data integrity between MISA
  • D. Compliance & Administration
  • Organize and maintain all accounting records and supporting tax filings.
  • Support internal and external audit engagements by providing necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to improving in-house accounting processes as the company transitions its operations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Software: Mandatory proficiency in MISA AMIS
  • Languages: Communication in English for reporting
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Circular 200, VAS, IFRS, and local tax regulations.
  • Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
