Overview

1 Freight Procurement & Pricing
Source competitive ocean freight, air freight and inland transportation rates from carriers
Prepare accurate quotations for import, export and cross-trade shipments.
Ensure quotations are completed within committed turnaround time.
Negotiate buying rates to maximize company profit.
Monitor market trends and freight rate fluctuations.
Work closely with Sales and Overseas teams to provide competitive pricing solutions.
Recommend routing, transit time and logistics solutions based on customer requirements.
Support strategic bidding and RFQ/RFP submissions.
2 Carrier & Vendor Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies
Evaluate suppliers based on pricing, service quality and reliability.
Negotiate long-term rates and service agreements whenever applicable.
Maintain updated vendor database and tariff records.
