- Technical Point of Contact, Resourcing & Technical Championship:
- Serve as the single technical point of contact for the VN engineering organization. Maintain real-time visibility of all VN candidates and staff — who’s available, who’s ramping, who’s on the bench — so a resourcing question never has to go through more than one person.
- Source and staff engineers for new projects as they’re scoped, working directly with Sales and NL PMs on timing and fit, through the standard hiring process.
- Act as the team’s technical champion: stay current on the state of the art in software and AI-assisted development, and bring that knowledge back into the team’s practices, tooling choices, and technical decisions.
- Delivery Collaboration & Accountability with PMs & QA: Partner with NL-based Project Managers on resourcing, capacity planning, and risk — PMs continue to own and manage their own projects; this role does not sit above them in the reporting line.
- Support estimations and technical architecture decisions for new and in-flight projects.
- Act as the VN-side point of contact for delivery questions, engineering constraints, and QA status. Take hands-on responsibility for making sure VN-side delivery commitments are actually met — flagging and resolving risk early, and escalating jointly with the relevant PM when something needs NL-side input.
- Technical Governance: Oversee local architecture, system design, and code quality. Enforce engineering standards, code reviews, and CI/CD practices across web and cloud-native applications.
- People Leadership & Mentorship: Act as the direct people manager for the local technical team. Conduct regular 1-on-1s, drive performance evaluations, structure career progression pathways, and build a high-performance engineering culture.
- Sales & Pre-Sales Support: Available to Sales for technical scoping input, candidate/resourcing queries, and structuring proposals that touch VN delivery capacity.
- Retention & Culture: Design and run local team engagement and retention strategies to minimize turnover in a competitive regional market.
