Instructing IELTS, academic English, and English for specific purposes for Bachelor and Master students from pre-intermediate to advanced levels
Teaching IELTS to Bachelor and Master students and industries which are partners of VGU when required
Teaching basic and advanced academic English and academic skills to Bachelor and Master students
Teaching Engineering English to engineering students with a focus on electronics, IT, computer science, mechanical engineering, and civil engineering, when needed
Teaching Business English to students majoring in economics and finance
Preparing test and exam topics; grading student papers, including in-class and exam papers
Performing formative and summative assessments of students during the phase (8-week teaching, 1-week exam, and 1-week grading)
Filling out teaching and learning profiles (after having instructed a class), including checking and recording student class attendance
Updating existing curriculum and syllabus and developing new ones for new courses, when needed
Sharing teaching experiences and new knowledge in the field with colleagues
Observing annual entrance exams (for full-time instructors only)
Participating in periodic meetings with English instructors in the specialized unit that he/she belongs to
Coordinating IELTS, academic English, and ESP and EAP courses in the foundation year, when assigned
Contributing to professional affairs of the specialized unit
Conducting research to improve teaching practices, if possible
