Ensure the Company’s operations are fully compliant with applicable laws and regulations, while providing timely, practical, and business-oriented legal advice to management and business team/dept.
Provide legal advice to the Members’ Council, Board of Management, and business units to ensure compliance and support business objectives.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, legal documents, and licensing dossiers.
Conduct legal reviews and assessments of products, services, and core business activities (e.g. brokerage, margin lending, proprietary trading, investment banking, operation).
Develop, review, and update internal regulations, policies, procedures, and templates.
Identify, assess, and provide recommendations on legal risks arising from business operations.
Coordinate with Risk Management and Compliance functions to ensure proper legal risk control and regulatory compliance.
Support dispute resolution matters and coordinate with external counsel in litigation or legal proceedings when required.
Monitor, analyze, and disseminate legal and regulatory updates relevant to the Company.
Fulfill the information disclosure obligations as required.
Provide legal support for strategic projects, new business initiatives, and corporate restructuring activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager or Management.
