- DESIGN & CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
- Lead the development of architecture design concepts and spatial strategies across multiple or complex projects.
- Define and guide the overall design direction, ensuring alignment with client vision, project brief, and site context.
- Oversee the preparation of design studies, diagrams, and visualizations, ensuring clarity, quality, and consistency.
- Direct the production of concept and Schematic design packages ensuring high-level design intent is clearly articulated.
- Review and provide critical feedback to team members to maintain strong and cohesive design outcomes.
- Ensure project budgets and costs are controlled effectively.
- Resolve complex technical and design issues with innovative solutions.
- Control design direction and presentation strategies for projects.
- TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION
- Lead and review the preparation of Design Development (DD) and Construction Documentation (CD) packages.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of architecture documentation.
- Establish and enforce project management and quality control systems.
- Coordinate closely with Landscape, Interior, Civil, and Engineering disciplines to ensure fully integrated and buildable solutions.
- Resolve technical design challenges and provide direction on detailing, materials, and constructability.
- PRESENTATION & COMMUNICATION
- Lead the preparation and delivery of client presentations, design reports, and graphic packages.
- Present design concepts confidently to clients, stakeholders, and internal leadership.
- Translate complex design ideas into clear visual and verbal communication.
- Manage client expectations and incorporate feedback into the design process effectively.
- PROJECT COORDINATION
- Lead project coordination with internal teams, external consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Understand client requirements and translate them into actionable design briefs for the team.
- Communicate design concepts and strategies effectively during client presentations and daily interactions.
- Handle client approvals during different project stages and assist with related business matters.
- Manage project workflow, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with Project Manager.
- Oversee site visits and provide design supervision during construction to ensure alignment with design intent.
- Identify and mitigate project risks related to design, coordination, and delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level architects within the team.
- LEADERSHIP & RESPONSIBILITY
- Take ownership of design packages and project outcomes.
- Support business development activities, including proposal input and design strategy (when required).
- Contribute to internal design reviews, knowledge sharing (training as buddy), and team capability development. Mentor, train, and support the professional development of team members.
- Uphold company design standards, processes, and professional training practice.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage appraisals for project team members.
- Foster a collaborative and creative team environment.
- Complete tasks assigned by the line manager.
