Investigate product and component failures, identify failure mechanisms, and determine root causes.
Analyze test results, document findings, and prepare technical reports with corrective action recommendations.
Operate relevant analysis equipment, troubleshoot testing issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve product quality concerns.
Physical Failure Analysis
Perform physical inspection and structural defect analysis using microscopy, X-ray/CT, cross-sectioning, and other destructive or non-destructive techniques.
Conduct material and component analysis to identify defects, abnormal structures, and potential failure origins.
Electrical Failure Analysis
Perform electrical fault isolation, circuit troubleshooting, and electrical characterization to investigate component and PCB-level failures.
Develop test setups and conduct electrical measurements using appropriate instruments to identify abnormal electrical behavior and potential failure locations.
