  • Position Overview:
  • We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the software engineering team responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the HI GIO CLOUD Portal.
  • The role focuses on people management, delivery ownership, engineering execution, and continuous improvement. The Engineering Manager will work closely with the Architect and other stakeholders to translate business priorities into actionable plans and ensure successful delivery.
  • People Management
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop software engineers through goal setting, regular feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Manage team priorities, workload, and resource allocation.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and team capability development.
  • Delivery & Execution
  • Translate business and product priorities into development plans, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Take ownership of delivery outcomes, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Monitor progress, resolve delivery issues, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Architect and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective execution.
  • Engineering Productivity & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and drive improvements for long-term engineering risks, including security, dependency lifecycle, technical debt, and maintainability.
  • Improve development processes, code quality, CI/CD, test automation, and release practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity through automation, AI-assisted development, and modern engineering tools.
  • Drive the implementation and adoption of engineering improvements.
  • Technical Coordination
  • Work with the Architect to translate technical direction into effective implementation plans.
  • Assess technical risks and trade-offs and facilitate technical discussions with engineers.
  • Coordinate major application incidents and release issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
  • Product Scope
  • The team is primarily responsible for the HI GIO CLOUD Portal, including:
  • IAM, SSO, and role management
  • VPC Portal is integrated with VMware Cloud Director and OpenStack
  • Monitoring and audit logging
  • Billing and back-office integration

Yêu cầu

  • Must-have
  • At least 4 years of experience directly managing software engineers in a software engineering or application development team.
  • Experience in people management, coaching, performance reviews, and team development.
  • Experience managing a team of around 10–15 members, or experience managing multiple teams with a similar overall size.
  • Proven experience owning software delivery, including planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and engineering practices.
  • Sufficient software engineering knowledge to understand technical discussions, assess risks, and work effectively with Architects and engineers.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Nice-to-have
  • Previous experience as a Software Developer, Technical Lead, or Application Engineer.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, virtualization, APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or DevOps.
  • Experience with test automation, AI-assisted development, or engineering productivity improvements.
  • Experience coordinating production incidents, releases, or cross-functional projects.
