- You will help VSF meet its personal data protection obligations: advising on compliant data handling, running privacy risk assessments, and partnering with Legal, Security, and product teams. In line with the law's personnel requirements, we welcome candidates from either a Legal or a Technology background.
- Act as, or support, VSF's designated personal data protection focal point under Vietnam's Law on Personal Data Protection, maintaining required records and documentation.
- Monitor and advise on compliance with the Law on Personal Data Protection (Law No. 91/2025/QH15), its guiding decree, and the related Law on Data (Law No. 60/2024/QH15).
- Review data governance policies, processing activities, and data-sharing agreements for compliance; support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and maintain processing records.
- Advise on and help operationalize data subject rights requests, consent management, and personal data breach notification procedures.
- Partner with Legal, Security, DE/DA, and business units (PnLs) to embed privacy-by-design into data products and platform features.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions on personal data protection obligations for employees handling personal data.
Yêu cầu
- Associate/College degree or higher (minimum per Vietnam's Law on Personal Data Protection); Bachelor's degree in Law or IT preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience (post-graduation) in legal/compliance, IT, cybersecurity, data security, or risk management, per Article 13 of the Law on Personal Data Protection.
- Open to candidates from either a Legal background (contracts, regulatory compliance) or a Technology background (IT, cybersecurity, data) - no single-track requirement.
- Solid understanding of Vietnam's Law on Personal Data Protection and its guiding decree, or a strong ability to learn and apply them quickly.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills; able to translate legal requirements into practical policies for technical and business teams.
- Good command of both Vietnamese and English.
- Preferred Skills:
- Training or certification in personal data protection or privacy (e.g., Vietnam's Law on Personal Data Protection, CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO, or equivalent).
- Additional knowledge of sector-specific data rules is a plus (not required), e.g., banking/credit institution, real estate, or healthcare data regulations.
- Experience supporting a Data Protection Officer function, privacy program, or compliance function at a bank, financial institution, technology company, or consulting firm.
