  • We’re building a scalable loyalty and fintech ecosystem that connects millions of users across Southeast Asia.
  • As a Backend Engineer, you will focus on hands-on backend development, owning backend services and modules end-to-end. This role emphasizes technical depth, system reliability, and code quality, without people-management responsibilities.
  • Backend Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Node.js.
  • Build and evolve backendsystemsfollowing microservices or modular architecture.
  • Develop RESTful APIs for web, mobile, andpartner integrations.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of assigned backendservices or modules(design
  • implementation, testing, deployment support).
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability under high traffic.
  • Code Quality & Operations
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards, security, and best practices.
  • Debug and resolve complex backend issues in production environments.
  • Proactively refactor code and reduce technical debt.
  • Apply secure coding practices to protect systems and user data.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with Frontend, Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver features on
  • time.
  • Analyze business requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
  • Support release activities and ensure backend stability after deployment.
  • Tools & Productivity
  • Use CI/ CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring tools effectively.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot
  • ChatGPT) to improve productivity when appropriate.
