- We are seeking an adaptable, proactive, and cross-functional Product / Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Hung Yen. In this role, you will be a key contributor to New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Business Quotation processes. - BOM & Design Change Management
- Create, review, and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for new project launches and mass-production phases.
- Manage Engineering/Design Change Requests & Orders (ECR / DCR / ECO) to ensure seamless transition from design to shop floor.
- Maintain engineering control prints, technical specifications, and official release documentation.
- New Business Quotation & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Support the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process for new vehicle models, variants, and electrical systems.
- Act as the core technical coordinator: Collaborate closely with Sales, Purchasing, Costing, and Production teams to calculate material usage, assess engineering feasibility, and meet quotation deadlines.
- Prepare and deliver technical feasibility packages and engineering presentations for customer reviews.
- Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) & Cost Optimization
- Actively identify, propose, and implement VAVE / Cost Reduction ideas (material optimization, supplier localization, component standardization, and design simplification).
- Follow up on VAVE proposals with internal stakeholders and customer engineering teams until approval and production rollout.
- Quality & Design Verification (DFMEA / DFM / DFA)
- Participate in DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) reviews to assess design risks and define robust preventive actions.
- Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles to optimize shop floor productivity and minimize assembly errors.
- Support pilot build-up (first piece run), engineering evaluation, and engineering permit/deviation requests.
