- Directing and coordinating plant operations within the company policies and procedures.
- Initiating plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and capital.
- Improving manpower utilization within existing departments and processes. Schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies.
- Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
- Maintaining individual skills keeping up to date with latest production and production management concepts.
- Establishing group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem-solving and cost reduction.
- Creating and maintaining a clean and safe working environment/plant.
- Establishing and direct plant policies and procedures.
- Being responsible for production goals.
- Establishing and maintaining a positive community relationship.
- Fostering a well-trained and motivated staff.
- Communicating with department supervisors to ensure coordination of purchasing, production and shipping.
- Being responsible for work force and personnel planning.
- Being responsible for capacity planning.
- Being responsible for the product quality control for the plant.
- Attending scheduled corporate training and meetings in person and via video-conference.
- Monitoring the accomplishments, progress and improvements needed of the management and supervisor staff.
- Creating and conducting performance appraisals for direct-reports. Overseeing the performance appraisals conducted by direct-reports.
