Tổng quan
- Develop mechanical concepts and architectures for complex products or assemblies from product requirements
- Design complex plastic and metal parts and assemblies, including detailed 3D models and 2D drawings with GD&T
- Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and engineering calculations; initiate simulations where needed
- Select materials and manufacturing processes, balancing performance, cost and manufacturability
- Lead the mechanical work package within projects, including effort estimation and technical planning
- Work with toolmakers and suppliers on part feasibility, tooling design reviews and sample evaluation
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues from testing, production or the field and implement root-cause solutions
- Define mechanical verification requirements together with the Laboratory and analyze test results
- Lead DFMEA and DFM/DFA reviews for assigned designs
- Review designs and drawings prepared by other engineers
