- Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of 10–12 AP Associates across invoice processing, freight audit, and account reconciliation functions, ensuring consistent performance management, coaching, and a collaborative team culture
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Accounts Payable & Freight Audit, and cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities, process improvements, and resourcing needs
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of high-volume invoice processing, freight invoice auditing, and account reconciliation across the team
- Review and resolve complex or escalated billing disputes, discrepancies, and reconciliation variances, partnering with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders as needed
- Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual terms, and regulatory requirements across all processing, freight audit, and reconciliation activities
- Maintain working knowledge of multi-country tax, invoicing, and regulatory requirements relevant to the team’s expanding scope, ensuring operations remain compliant as responsibilities grow
- Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Build and deploy practical automation tools and AI-enabled workflows directly, while identifying and escalating additional opportunities that improve AP automation, operating efficiency, and scalability
- Analyse and report on team performance and the impact of process or automation changes, recommending continuous improvements with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and execution speed
