  • Serve as a provider of advanced scientific and engineering expertise, leading diverse groups of engineers and specialists with different technical backgrounds to troubleshoot complex process, component, and product issues related to materials science and chemistry, including:
  • Coppermetallized ceramic substrates
  • Soldering processes, wire bonding, and product reliability
  • Cleaning and other wetchemical processes
  • Semiconductor wafer surface treatment, plating, and coating
  • Metal mechanical parts with surface treatments such as anodizing, plating, and coating
  • Epoxy, underfill, encapsulant, and adhesive systems
  • Thermal pads, greases, films, and TIMs used for heattransfer optimization
  • Apply analytical thinking grounded in fundamental engineering principles to challenge assumptions and guide teams toward effective solutions, ensuring all rootcause analyses are supported by robust technical data.   • The individual is expected to observe manufacturing processes directly and work collaboratively with operators and engineers to gain deep process understanding.   • In addition, the individual will collaborate with international experts to support processdevelopment activities, contribute new processimprovement strategies, and provide technical support for customer quality issues related to thermoelectric devices and components, including onsite support at customer facilities when required.
  • Engineering Leadership and Process Management - 60%
  • Lead diverse groups of engineers and specialists with different technical backgrounds to troubleshoot complex process, component, and product issues related to materials science and chemistry.
  • Monitor and control critical process parameters to ensure stable operation, high yield, and consistent product quality.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians in troubleshooting process issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and process control strategies.
  • Lead the team to develop and implement new technologies for plating processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process capability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Work with internal and external experts to evaluate new materials, equipment, and plating technologies.
  • Design and conduct experiments (DOE) to optimize process performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Identify and drive automation projects to improve productivity, reduce manual work, and enhance process stability.
  • Monitor plant KPIs and report operational performance to senior management.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate ERP, MES, and digital manufacturing systems.
  • Responsible and authorized to answer, discuss with auditors, customers for reviewing and agreeing on any discrepancies or conformities revealed during the audits.
  • Ensure that any necessary correction and corrective actions are enforced timely, as well as review the effectiveness of the corrective actions taken to prevent recurrences.
  • New Product and Process Transfer - 20%
  • Lead the transfer of new processes and products from the U.S. engineering team to the local manufacturing site.
  • Support the qualification and ramp-up of products.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including production, quality, and global engineering to ensure smooth technology transfer.
  • Develop process documentation, training materials, and qualification plans.
  • Lead and support plant expansion, new production lines, and technology implementation projects.
  • Human Resources - 15%
  • Provide immediate supervision to a group of manufacturing employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals.
  • Co-develop and agree upon an Employee Success and Growth Plan each year.
  • Mentor and train less experienced employees effectively.
  • Actively participate in available training sessions and support and recommend training sessions and brown bag lunches.
  • Review complementary trade and technology publications regularly.
  • Maintain Quality Work Environment housekeeping standards for own work area and community areas.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and cooperate in working with others.
