- Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor security systems, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and SIEM tools, to detect security incidents and vulnerabilities. Analyze security data and alerts to identify potential threats and risks to the organization.
- Incident Response: Respond to security incidents in accordance with established procedures. Investigate security breaches and incidents to determine the root cause and extent of the damage. Take appropriate actions to contain, eradicate, and recover from security incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in the organization's infrastructure and applications. Collaborate with system administrators and developers to remediate vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training and educational materials to staff members. Promote a culture of security awareness and best practices
- Threat Intelligence: Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies. Monitor threat intelligence sources for information relevant to the organization's security posture. Use threat intelligence to enhance security monitoring and incident response capabilities.
- Security Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and remediation activities. Prepare reports and presentations for management, summarizing security metrics, trends, and risks.
