Bosch is growing its electronic hardware engineering capabilities for advanced automotive applications, including high-performance computing, ADAS, infotainment, and next-generation embedded platforms.
About the project: For additional project information, please refer to:
Own PCB placement, fine-pitch BGA escape routing, and detailed routing for complex multilayer and HDI automotive PCBs.
Implement constraint-driven routing for high-speed interfaces such as DDR/LPDDR, PCIe, Ethernet, and SerDes, including impedance control, length matching, differential pairs, crosstalk, and return-path considerations.
Define PCB stack-ups, material requirements, via structures, microvias, and HDI build-up in collaboration with hardware, SI/PI, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
Implement power and ground planes, decoupling placement, and power routing considering power integrity, thermal, EMI/EMC, and current-carrying requirements.
Create and maintain footprints, pad stacks, ECAD libraries, PCB databases, and design revisions.
Prepare manufacturing release packages including Gerber/ODB++, drill files, stack-up specifications, fabrication/assembly drawings, and placement data.
Perform layout reviews, DRC and DFM/DFA/DFT checks, and work with PCB suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.
Maintain PCB layout guidelines and documentation, and proactively communicate design risks, trade-offs, and project status.

Must-have
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on PCB layout experience, including complex multilayer or high-density PCB designs.
Strong experience with component placement, BGA escape routing, multilayer PCB stack-ups, vias, and constraint-driven routing.
Hands-on experience with high-speed interfaces such as DDR/LPDDR, PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes, or similar technologies.
Good understanding of impedance control, length matching, differential pairs, return paths, decoupling, and SI/PI-related PCB layout practices.
Proficiency with Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, or equivalent PCB layout tools.
Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes, including DFM/DFA/DFT.
Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical constraints and collaborate effectively with hardware, SI/PI, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
Nice-to-have
Experience with HDI, microvias, via-in-pad, or fine-pitch BGA designs.
Experience with automotive electronic products or automotive PCB development.
Knowledge of relevant IPC standards.
Experience working directly with PCB fabrication or assembly suppliers.
Experience with high-performance computing or other complex high-speed embedded platforms.
