Technical Scope:
General Arrangement and Statutory Plans:
o Develop and coordinate the General Arrangement Plan.
o Prepare and verify statutory plans (safety plans, fire control, hazardous zone, firefighting equipment, and life-saving equipment).
Layouts and Outfitting Plans:
o Prepare and verify Deck Equipment layouts and Compartment Arrangement drawings, including but not limited to Anchor & Mooring Arrangements and Wheelhouse Arrangements.
o Prepare and verify outfit drawings and schedules (Stair, Door, Windows & Portlight Schedules).
Design Coordination and Compliance:
o Prepare and verify weight estimates.
o Coordinate with all engineering disciplines to ensure optimal, functional, and sustainable vessel design.
o Verify solutions to ensure compliance with Class Rules, International Conventions, Flag State, and Contractual requirements.
o Perform engineering calculations using empirical formulae from Classification Regulations as well as first principles.
o Perform Naval Architecture calculations according to industry standards and recognized marine standard criteria.
o Prepare Naval Architecture drawing packages for submission to Classification Societies.
o Provide advanced technical input to specifications and drawings, and perform engineering studies, technical evaluations and various analyses/ studies.
Issue Resolution and Collaboration:
o Resolve Classification and Client comments related to the Naval Architecture scope.
o Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery.
o Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Leadership:
Project Coordination:
o Oversee and coordinate the Naval Architecture scope on Vung Tau project.
o Support planning and scheduling for Naval Architecture tasks.
o Leadership role in team working environment, both intra-office and inter-office.
Team Development:
o Mentor and support junior staff to develop their technical and professional skills.
o Conduct biannual performance appraisals for the Vung Tau Naval Architecture team.
Process Improvement:
o Participate in process improvement groups.
o Propose modifications to enhance department operations.
Communicate effectively and complete work within budget and deadlines.
Demonstrate strong technical report writing skills.
