● Consults with teachers and administrators regarding specific students and/or groups of students.
● Works with various school teams to support multi-tiered systems of support for all students within their
assigned schools.
● Interprets and utilizes data for the purpose of developing appropriate prevention and intervention plans for
struggling learners within their schools.
● Conducts comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations that include but are not limited to the assessment
of cognitive, developmental, academic, social/emotional and behavioral performance.
● Conducts assessments and collects data by use of informal and non-standardized evaluation techniques.
● Counsels students individually and in small groups.
● Provides crisis intervention support for individual students and school communities when needed.
● Provides training for school staff members and parents on a wide variety of topics that impact student
learning in school, including but not limited to child development and effective parenting practices.
● Assists parents in locating available educational and mental health resources in the community.
● Assists with school-wide initiatives to enhance students’ social-emotional and leadership skills.
● Maintains professional skills through attending relevant in-service trainings, reading current literature and
professional memberships.
