The General Accountant is responsible for overseeing key accounting activities of a company, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with applicable accounting standards, and timely reporting to management. This role supports financial planning and control by managing asset accounting, preparing and analyzing budgets, developing funding plans, and explain differences between VAS and CAS…
Manage fixed assets, intangible assets, and right-of-use assets, including capitalization, depreciation or amortization, reconciliation, impairment review, and disposal accounting.
Maintain accurate asset registers and ensure supporting documentation is complete, properly classified, and compliant with company policy and applicable accounting standards.
Develop and monitor funding plans to support operational requirements, working capital needs, and business activities within the company.
Prepare annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and variance analyses; identify key drivers of differences between actual and budgeted results and recommend corrective actions.
Compare and explain differences between VAS and CAS financial reports, including recognition, classification, presentation, and disclosure impacts where applicable.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to provide schedules, reconciliations, and explanations related to assigned accounting areas.
