JOB TASKS
Prepare and develop electrical design drawings, including internal lighting systems, navigation lights, main switchboards, distribution boards, cable systems, cable trays, and other electrical installations.
Make calculation to define equipment
Perform electrical load calculations to determine the appropriate electrical equipment and components for the design.
Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and material take-offs from engineering drawings for cost estimation and procurement by the Purchasing Department.
Prepare technical specifications, requests for quotation (RFQs), and/or purchase requisitions for electrical equipment and materials.
Make sure the technical documenttation available is up to date
Follow-up the regulation evolution
Participate in vessel testing, commissioning, and sea trials to verify the performance and compliance of electrical systems.
Remains aware of the latest technological innovation and working methods
Report work progress and project status to the Design Manager
