Tổng quan
- Create, maintain, and communicate daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules.
- Review open sales orders, customer due dates, production backlog, priorities, and available capacity.
- Schedule manufacturing jobs based on material availability, labor availability, machine capacity, tooling, process requirements, and customer commitments.
- Coordinate production priorities with Sales, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Shipping, and management.
- Monitor the progress of active jobs and identify orders at risk of delay.
- Adjust production schedules when priorities, customer requirements, equipment conditions, staffing, or material availability change.
- Communicate schedule changes and potential delivery risks to affected departments.
- Review planned start dates, completion dates, operation sequences, and required quantities.
- Develop recovery plans for late, delayed, or interrupted production orders.
- Maintain production-planning data within the company’s ERP system.
- Support material requirements planning and confirm that required raw materials, purchased components, tooling, and supplies are available.
- Coordinate with Purchasing regarding shortages, lead times, substitute materials, and supplier-related delays.
- Work with Shipping and Sales to align production completion with customer delivery requirements.
- Review work-center capacity and balance workloads between departments, machines, and production locations.
- Identify opportunities to combine similar jobs, reduce setup time, and improve equipment utilization.
- Participate in production meetings and provide updates regarding schedules, constraints, shortages, and delivery risks.
