A factory supply chain and production planner coordinates material availability, factory capacity, and manufacturing schedules to turn customer demand into finished goods on time.

Demand and Capacity Alignment: Review sales forecasts and orders, then check if machines, labor, and space can handle the workload.
Material Planning: Track raw materials inventory and raise purchase requests or orders so the assembly line never runs out.
Production Scheduling: Create master and daily manufacturing schedules, setting exact start and finish dates for each product line.
Sequence Optimization: Arrange work orders to reduce machine setup and changeover times, lowering factory costs.
Cross-Functional Communication: Work closely with procurement, sales, warehouse, and shop floor teams to fix bottlenecks or material delays.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data trends, forecast errors, and inventory levels.
Software Expertise: Hands-on experience with SAP systems specialized production scheduling tools.
Quick response time when suppliers fail to deliver or machines break down.
