POSITION OBJECTIVE
Coordinate with the Mold Manager to implement the daily and weekly work plans for the Mold Workshop.
Operate and troubleshoot technical issues related to CNC milling machines, lathes, and Wire Cut EDM machines.
Use CAD/CAM software effectively for design and CNC machining programming.
Read and understand 2D/3D technical drawings, tolerances, surface roughness, materials, and assembly requirements.
Assign and supervise the work of CNC, Wire Cut, turning, milling, grinding, and mold assembly personnel.
Monitor work progress, quality, and mold condition, and report any issues to the Mold Manager.
Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to workshop employees during machining operations.
Review CAM programs, toolpaths, cutting tools, workholding/setups, and machining sequences.
Understand the complete mold process, including manufacturing, assembly, mold trials, repair, improvement, and maintenance.
Manage workshop machinery, cutting tools, fixtures, measuring instruments, and equipment.
Maintain 5S, occupational safety, and workplace discipline in the Mold Workshop.
Coordinate with Production, Casting, R&D/Design, QC, Maintenance, and other related departments to resolve technical issues.
Report work progress, quality, machine conditions, breakdowns, and technical issues to the Mold Manager.
