- Strategic Leadership
- Execute VinEnergo’s project development strategy for solar, wind, and hybrid projects in the Philippines.
- Lead origination efforts: site identification, feasibility analysis, and securing land rights.
- Oversee DOE permitting, LGU engagement, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Drive partnerships and joint development agreements (JDAs) with local developers and landowners
- Business Development & M&A
- Identify and evaluate acquisition targets (operating assets, pipelines, or platforms).
- Lead due diligence (technical, financial, legal) for M&A transactions.
- Negotiate and structure JDAs, MoUs, and acquisition agreements.
- Prepare investment committee papers and support transaction closing
- Project Development Oversight
- Manage the full lifecycle from origination to pre-construction: permitting, interconnection studies, and
- Ensure alignment with NGCP transmission planning and DOE renewable portfolio standards.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
- Local Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local government units (LGUs), regulatory agencies, and
- Represent VinEnergo in consultations, public hearings, and negotiations to ensure smooth project
- Address local concerns proactively and align development activities with community and regulatory
- Commercial Integration
- Align acquisitions with downstream opportunities (DPPA, RES integration, BESS deployment).
- Ensure acquired projects meet VinEnergo’s standards for scalability and profitability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Technical, Origination, and Commercial teams to ensure bankability and offtake
- Coordinate with legal and finance for compliance and transaction structuring.
- Future Scope
- Opportunity to lead key strategic initiatives as VinEnergo’s portfolio scales beyond 2 GW
- Potential to head platform-level acquisitions and strategic partnerships
- Potential involvement in BESS integration, DPPA structuring, and RES operations.
