Manage the sourcing of a few categories to deliver the best value for Procurement department's goals from developing procurement strategies and applying to implement best in class, tracking and reporting POV status
Responsible for routine activities (*) in procurement of incumbent categories
Contribute to development of category strategies and share best practices
Self-learning to improve skills and capabilities
Provide training on category management to the team.
Update, consult Manager and get assistance on any difficulty or issue, besides receiving delegation from direct Supervisor in appropriately assigned tasks
Handle local and participate in regional / global sourcing activities for incumbent categories
Visit, assess performance, capability and degrees of motivation of suppliers to maintain preferred supplier list and improve relationships with key suppliers
Initiate savings opportunities and contribute to POV
Participate company initiatives, cross-functional/cross-regional projects
Sales involvement
Contribute to system and processes improvement and compliance
Contribute to risk assessment and management
